Name the columns in the header row of the CSV or the worksheet and they are matched by name: data, format, line1, line1b, line1c, line2, line2b, line2c, topLine1, topLine1b, topLine1c, topLine2, topLine2b, and topLine2c. The b and c columns are the second and third columns on that line, so a row carrying line1, line1b, and line1c prints three values across one row. A column whose name is not on that list, such as SKU, is ignored rather than guessed at, and the data column does not have to come first: a sheet headed SKU, UPC takes the barcode from the UPC column and leaves the SKU alone. A file with no header row is read positionally in that same order, and a first row holding a long run of digits is treated as data rather than as names.

The format column takes a short symbology name, not the wording from the Barcode Format menu. Case and spaces are ignored, so upc and UPC both work, but punctuation is not: UPC-A / GTIN-12 (12 digits) fails. Accepted values are UPC, UPCA, UPC-A, GTIN12 or GTIN-12 for UPC-A; EAN, EAN13, EAN-13, GTIN13 or GTIN-13 for EAN-13; ISBN, ISBN10, ISBN-10, ISBN13 or ISBN-13 for ISBN; GTIN14, GTIN-14, ITF14 or ITF-14 for GTIN-14; CODE128, CODE-128 or C128 for Code 128; and GS1, GS1128 or GS1-128 for GS1-128. Leave the cell empty to use the Barcode Format selected above. A value that is not on this list is not corrected to the default: that row fails with Unknown format in the status list and the rest of the batch still generates.

An .xlsx or .xlsm workbook is read directly, which is the way to keep long numbers intact. Each cell is taken by its stored value, so a UPC column displayed as 8.11657E+11 still arrives as all twelve digits, and no re-export is needed. Only the first visible sheet is read and the status line below names it along with any sheet it skipped. Dates arrive as spreadsheet serial numbers rather than as dates, formulas contribute their last calculated result, and the old binary .xls format cannot be opened here: save it as .xlsx first.

A leading apostrophe is the marker Excel uses to force a cell to text, so '811657040345 is read as 811657040345 in the data column and in every text column. To keep a literal apostrophe at the start of a Code 128 value, double it: ''811657040345 encodes '811657040345. The ="811657040345" form some exports use is unwrapped the same way.

Bulk import sets the text of each column only. Bold and size for every column, along with the font, label size, and rendering toggles, come from the Advanced Options controls above and apply to every row in the batch.
