Designer Options
Off by default so the list shows one row per line; the settings apply whether or not they are on screen, including those a template or a reload brings back. Space above is counted in printer dots: at 203 dpi the 44 dots the default layout puts above the PO number, the carton count, and the pallet number come to just over a fifth of an inch. An added line starts at 40 dots, centered and bold.
Each empty placeholder prints as this many spaces, so a pallet count or number can be filled in by hand at the dock: {#} with no Step #, {total} with no # of labels, or a variable left empty in the form or the spreadsheet. On the 76-dot pallet line, eight spaces leave roughly 0.8 inch to write in; 0 removes the gap.
Label and Printer
Line spacing is a multiplier on each line's height: at the default 1.2 a 42-dot line sits on a 50-dot pitch, and 1.0 sets lines with no leading at all. Centering places the whole stack midway down the label as one block. Shrink text to fit applies one scale to every height and every space above, the largest that keeps all lines inside the label, and stops at 40 percent; Checks states the scale it used. With it off, the label keeps the set heights and Checks reports any overrun in dots.

Preset Values
A preset is a sheet of approved ship-to combinations, each row pairing a distribution center's address with its department and PO prefix. Loaded here, it turns the address, DEPT#, and PO#: lines into lists that only take what the sheet holds. Unlike the per-pallet data file further down, a preset row prints nothing on its own; it only limits what a label may say. Sheets written for carton labels load as they are, minus the To: that opens each address, which the Ship to: heading already prints.

Narrow by:
On load, each column picks the line it feeds. A header such as Text B names one outright; otherwise a column whose values begin the way a line on the label begins takes that line, and its neighbours take the lines beside it, with plain column order as the last resort. On the default layout the DEPT# column anchors the match, so the two address columns land on the two lines above DEPT#, while a column headed Prefix holding short numbers feeds the digits after PO#:. Each guess is an editable dropdown, and a column set to Not used, such as a customer name, still filters the others through Narrow by.
With the lock on, a list line accepts sheet values only: typing part of a name or a city, such as RENO, lists every row containing it, and anything else is put back with a note saying why. Picking a row fills every line that row settles and narrows the rest; Show all options widens a narrowed list again. With the lock off, the lists still suggest and fill, and a hand-typed address stays on the label, outlined in red with the reason on hover and listed in Checks as off the sheet. The PO#: line checks only its leading digits against the prefix column, which leaves the PO run number free, # of labels never locks, and Step # locks only when a column is mapped to it. A loaded preset survives reloads until Reset clears it.

Before labeling a load: print the first pallet label and read it from a few feet away. The preview stands in for the printer's own font 0, so confirm no row is cut at the edges, and scan any barcode carried in imported ZPL with a real scanner.
