Areas to Cover

Add one entry per room or surface. Choose Length x Width x Height for a room, where wall area is the perimeter times the height, or Square footage when the area is already known. Leaving Height blank counts Length x Width as a single flat surface such as one wall or one ceiling.

These quantities come from the rates in the Settings panel and cover the board surface only. Corner bead, fasteners for the ceiling grid, adhesives, primer, and texture are not estimated here.

Measure carefully. The figures above are an estimate built from the numbers entered, and the waste allowance is a flat percentage rather than a real cut layout, so an irregular room with many short runs will scrap more than a square room of the same area. Do not shorten your measurements to account for windows, doors, or outlets; enter the full dimensions and let the openings fields handle the deduction. Local code can dictate panel thickness, orientation, fire rating, or moisture rating, and any of those can change how much material a job needs. Confirm the final quantity with your building authority or supplier before ordering.
