PDF Rotate Tool

A PDF rotate tool turns individual pages or an entire document by 90, 180, or 270 degrees and exports the result as a PDF, PNG, or JPG file. All processing happens directly in the browser, so no file is uploaded to a server and the document stays private throughout.

Rotation can apply the same angle to every page, or a different angle to each page individually, leaving any page at zero degrees for no rotation. Individual control matters most when a scan or a merge introduces rotation errors on only some pages, since applying one angle to the whole document would then rotate the correctly oriented pages by mistake along with the wrong ones. Angles follow the clockwise convention: 90 degrees turns a portrait page to landscape with the top edge facing right, 180 degrees flips the page upside down, and 270 degrees turns it with the top edge facing left.

PDF output produces a rotated PDF document, preserving the original text and vector content of every page; only the orientation changes. PNG or JPG output renders each page as an image file instead, which rasterizes the page: any selectable text or vector artwork in the source becomes fixed pixels in the exported image. A single-page PDF becomes a direct image download, while a multi-page PDF bundles every page's image into a ZIP archive.

Image resolution scale controls the pixel density of PNG and JPG output, from 1x for screen-resolution images up to 3x for high-resolution images suited to print. JPG quality sets the compression level from 0.1 (smallest file) to 1.0 (highest fidelity). Neither setting affects PDF output, since a rotated PDF page keeps its original resolution and is not rasterized.

Correcting page orientation is a frequent step when working with scanned documents, exported reports, and assembled PDFs from multiple sources. Below are scenarios where per-page and whole-document rotation solve real workflow problems.

• Scanning and Archival: Fix a batch of scanned receipts where the scanner captured some pages sideways. Upload the resulting PDF, switch to per-page mode, and set each misaligned page to 90 or 270 degrees before exporting a corrected PDF for long-term storage.
• Legal Document Preparation: Rotate landscape-oriented exhibits in a court filing so every page reads in portrait orientation. Export as PDF and attach the corrected file to the electronic filing system without installing desktop PDF software.
