What gets opened most.

The order is total page views per tool, counted since the tool was published and not weighted by how long it has been available. A tool added last month therefore has to earn its place against tools that have been collecting visits for a year, which is why the top of this list moves slowly.

Visits from crawlers, uptime monitors and this site’s own automated tests are not counted. That exclusion started on 16 September 2026, so views recorded before then still include some automated traffic. It was a large share: the daily test run alone opens every tool page in the catalog once a day.

A view means the page was opened, not that a calculation was run. Nothing you type into a tool is recorded, so there is no way to rank by use rather than by visit, and that trade is deliberate.

Popularity is a poor guide to whether a tool is right for you. The most visited tools here are the general-purpose ones; the catalog’s more useful entries are often the specific ones almost nobody searches for until they need them exactly once.
