Documentation

Type or paste text into the Text to Convert textarea, then click Generate to render it on a canvas. The rendered image appears in the Preview section below the controls. Click Download Image to save the result as a PNG or JPEG file to your device.

  • Enter your text in the Text to Convert field. Multi-line text is supported; press Enter to create line breaks that carry over into the rendered image.
  • Select the output format by choosing PNG for lossless quality or JPEG for smaller file sizes. When JPEG is selected, adjust the JPEG Quality slider in the settings panel to control compression.
  • Click Settings to expand the configuration panel. From there, set Font Size in pixels (for example, 24, 36, or 48), pick a Font Family such as Sans-Serif, Serif, or Monospace, and choose Text Color and Background Color using hex codes like #FF5500 or #333333.
  • Adjust Canvas Width to control how wide the output image is in pixels. The canvas height is calculated automatically based on the number of lines, font size, line height, and padding.
  • Set Padding to add space between the text and the canvas edges. A value of 20 pixels provides a comfortable margin on all four sides.
  • Change Line Height to control vertical spacing between lines. A value of 1.5 produces readable spacing, while 1.0 packs lines tightly together and 2.0 doubles the gap.
  • Pick a Text Alignment of Left, Center, or Right to position the text horizontally within the canvas.
  • Click Generate to re-render the canvas at any time after adjusting settings. The preview updates to reflect all current values.
  • Click Reset to restore every field and setting to its original default value and clear any saved state.
  • All inputs and settings persist automatically between browser sessions, so returning to the page restores the exact configuration from the previous visit.

Numeric fields such as Font Size, Canvas Width, and Padding accept integers and decimals. Fractions like 3/4 and mixed numbers like 1 1/2 are also accepted in any numeric field. Color fields accept standard six-digit hex codes with or without the leading hash symbol.

Turning plain text into a downloadable image serves a wide range of creative, professional, and technical needs. Below are scenarios where rendering text as a static graphic provides clear advantages over copying and pasting raw text.

  • Social Media Posts: Prepare quote graphics, announcements, or promotional text blocks sized to fit platform dimensions. Set the canvas width to 1080 pixels for Instagram squares or 1200 pixels for Twitter and LinkedIn posts, choose a bold font, and download a ready-to-upload PNG.
  • Presentation Slides: Generate text overlays with transparent or colored backgrounds for embedding into slide decks. Render key bullet points, statistics, or section headers as images that maintain exact formatting regardless of the presentation software used.
  • Documentation and Tutorials: Capture code snippets, terminal output, or configuration samples as images when the target platform strips formatting. Select the Monospace font family to preserve character alignment and spacing in the rendered result.
  • Email Signatures: Produce a formatted name, title, and contact block as a small image file. Embedding text as an image in email signatures prevents recipient mail clients from reflowing or restyling the layout.
  • Watermarks and Branding: Render copyright notices, disclaimers, or brand statements as transparent-background image files for layering onto photographs or documents in an image editor.
  • Accessibility Testing: Generate sample text images at various font sizes and color contrast ratios to evaluate readability. Adjust the text and background colors to specific hex values and visually verify contrast before applying the palette to a full design.
  • Print Materials: Convert short passages of text into high-resolution images for flyers, posters, or labels when a full design application is unavailable. Set a large font size and wide canvas to produce output suitable for print resolution.
  • Memes and Humor: Type a caption, pick a font, and export the result as a JPEG to layer onto images in another editor, or use the tool on its own for text-only meme formats with a colored background.
