It supports both the standard 4.0 scale and the extended 4.3 scale, which awards separate values for plus and minus grade modifiers. Courses marked as pass or fail do not count toward the GPA but still appear in the course list for reference.

On the 4.0 scale, A+ and A both map to 4.0. On the 4.3 scale, A+ maps to 4.3, and minus grades receive a 0.3 deduction while plus grades receive a 0.3 bonus relative to their base letter's value. Credit hours weight each course and accept whole numbers, decimals such as 1.5 for a lab course, fractions such as 3/2, and mixed numbers such as 1 1/2.
