Enter valid dates to calculate precise age or to determine a date of birth. Select the calculation mode in Settings, choose a date format, and enable time if you need hour and minute precision.

• Select Calculate: Age to compute the age between Date of Birth and Age at the Date of. Fill in month, day, year, and optional time in HH:MM with AM or PM or 24-hour format. Click Calculate.
• Select Calculate: Date of Birth to find a birth date from a known age. Enter age in years, months, days, optional HH:MM, then set On this Date as the reference date. Click Calculate.
• Choose a date order (MDY, DMY, YMD) to match local preference. Toggle time fields to include or exclude hours and minutes.
• Review the Results panel to see total days, weeks and days, calendar years–months–days, approximate hours, minutes, and seconds, the next anniversary, and upcoming milestones.

• Verify eligibility: Calculate whether someone reaches 18 years on a specific enrollment date. Enter Date of Birth and set the target date in Age at the Date of. Read the years–months–days result.
• Plan a celebration: Find the exact date for 10,000 days old. Enter Date of Birth, click Calculate, then check Milestones to see the calendar date.
• Complete a medical record: Include time of birth for newborn dosing windows. Enable time, enter HH:MM with AM or PM, and use total hours in the Approximate section when time is disabled or the detailed components when enabled.
• Reconstruct a birth date: Use Calculate: Date of Birth. Enter a known age from a document and the event date to compute the birth date precisely.

Does the calculator handle leap years? Yes. The tool applies standard leap year rules and adjusts Feb 29 anniversaries to Feb 28 in non-leap years when appropriate.

Can I enter time in 12-hour or 24-hour format? Yes. Enter HH:MM and optionally select AM or PM. The tool also accepts 24-hour entries without AM or PM.

What if I only know the year and month? Provide the most complete date available. For legal or medical use, consider supplying full month, day, and year to avoid ambiguity.

Can I reverse-calculate a birth date from an age? Yes. Switch to Date of Birth mode, enter the age and the reference date, then calculate.

Why do I see different totals for calendar vs absolute time? Calendar results follow months and days as they occur on the calendar, while absolute results convert the entire span into uniform units such as days or minutes.
